Picnic @ botanic garden
I alway wanted to go for a picnic at the park.... finally after so many years... i fulfil this wish. Me and my bf went to botanic garden for a picnic!!! I like the way we always have a spontonous decision to do something, e.g going to zouk KL, go for picnic.
We went shopping for our picnic food the day before at the supermarket. I love to go grocrey shopping with my partner... i find it as a form of communication, just like cooking together in the kitchen. This is where both of you will have discussion and disagreedment with stuff as in what to get and what not to get. It's also a place to undertsand each other dislike and like of food. After, walking around, we finally got ourselves some ingridence to make potato salad, cheese hotdog, hams for sandwiches, grapes, salsa and narcho! My bf did a very sweet thing, while we were looking for his favourit salsa sauce and narcho, he was looking for my fav. prawn cracker. So sweet of him!~!~ ke ke I find him very details in things sometime, although at times he is like blur blur and gong gong.
The day did not start well for us .... the sky was groomy and it threaten to start a big fall when we get to the park. We find ourselves a shelter and set our picnic map. Indeed, not long it starts to rain and every one came into the shelther. But, we hardly care at all, still munching our food away. After awhile, the rain stops. We meet a few caucasian kids- 2 boys, 2 girls and their nanny. I offer the little girl some grapes, she told me she loves grapes. very cute girl. ke ke.
The reason I love to go picnic is that life is always so "busy"... very seldom we will do silly things. Indeed, going picnic is viewed as very silly and boring things to do for most people. We are so use to our urban life that seldom we will want to step into the nature. Watching movies, going shopping, clubbing, etc seems normal for one to do, rather than going picnic, hiking, visit the zoo- one must be stupid to do those things and a waste of precious time! But what is said to be precious? Bury your head into work and earn money to substain one's materistic wants is consider constructive and time well spent? Last thursday class, my lecturer asked why we never question how much is the new NKF president is taking? why we never write in to the newspaper to voice our opinion? Are we like puppet diatated by the government? The answer is very simple most of us don't care. And, why we don't care is because most of us care only about money and earning more money or worry about not earning enough money to satisfy our materistic needs. Large fraction of the people falls into this category, that's why we stop questioning, we stop doing silly things or be silly, we stop laughing out loud, we stop been ourselves. We starts to join in office politics, just to survive in the hush environment. That's how most us will fall into this pit-hole once we step into the working environment. All things will come to a single answer: "We have NO TIME!"
To me, just sitting there observing people jogging in the park, bringing their dog for a walk, is very relaxing. Surrounding you are smell of trees and chiping of birds.... calm and peaceful. When I went to Australia, I do wanted to bring a book and lie on the grass in the cold winter to enjoy the peace of the nature. I find that the grass over there are like carpet grass, unlike singapore so rough and muddy. I think if i have the time, it will be very nice. Too bad, no time! ke ke. Anyway, we did enjoy the picnic, spending the whole morning embracing the nature,. I hope we will go and do more of such things in the future. Next stop, to the zoo!~!~ we are going to the zoo zoo zoo. How are you you! we are going to the zoo zoo zoo!~~. Ke ke.
